Series Description

The Indian Knowledge System and Governance Studies Series presents an interdisciplinary examination of Indian civilisational thought and its relevance to contemporary governance. The series covers foundational ideas and sources of Indian Knowledge System, Rajadharma, justice, welfare, public administration, civil-service ethics, education policy, institutional leadership, democracy, constitutional morality, social justice, and citizenship.

The collection does not advocate a mechanical return to the past. Instead, it uses critical, interpretive, and policy-oriented analysis to identify enduring concepts—such as dharma, nyaya, seva, lokahit, yogakshema, viveka, nishkama karma, and lokasangraha—and places them in dialogue with constitutional values, democratic accountability, institutional governance, public welfare, educational reform, and modern administrative ethics.
